My testimony begins at a time that I was making the biggest mistakes of my life. I had given up on faith, hope and love. Nothing anybody tried to tell me or do for me mattered. I had become totally detached from my life. I was at the lowest point I could reach. Everything was falling apart.As I sat alone one evening, questioning what had happened to my life, the voice of The Lord spoke to me saying..."you wouldn't have these problems if you had me." I had no idea who said that or what it meant, but suddenly I was flooded with emotion, emotions I hadn't felt in a long time. I repented of my sin and asked The Lord to forgive me. The next day was a Sunday, and as the pastor spoke, I had a stirring in my heart telling me to go and talk with a pastor when he asked if there was anybody that wanted a personal relationship with God. I went down and prayed a sinners prayer and made my profession that I had indeed accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior. I made the appointment to be baptized and did so exactly two weeks later.
I have since become an ordained minister and though the pain comes down in torrents and hard times come against me like a strong wind, and the floodwaters of tepmtation try to drown me, I can stand firm because now I am built on a solid foundation.
